As the cleaner and more economical energy source, LPG is becoming the new generation of the fuel. At the same time, Gasoline and the LPG forklift are increasingly popular in the forklift sector as they meet the carbon emission and occupational health requirements and are highly efficient. Some customers have questions on how to use it properly, below are some cautions and tips Wings Machinery listed.
1.Cautions when using the Gasoline and LPG forklift:
★Using environment: Forklift should be kept away from heat sources such as open fire, burning butts, welding, machines and electrical equipment that can produce high temperature.
★When using LPG: You don't need to step on the accelerator. After starting, especially in the cold area, it is better to warm up the forklift for 2-3 minutes, so that the cooling water system can warm up before driving.
★Fuels switching: Switch the forklift when it is parked stably and don't change the fuel during driving. Keep at least 1/4 of gasoline in the tank in case of emergency. And you should burn a little gasoline occasionally to ensure that the gasoline system won’t be broken due to idling for a long time, and to prevent the brittleness of the fuel pipeline. It is recommended to burn 10kg of gasoline per month.
★Add LPG correctly: There are two ways of adding. One is to change the tank, and the other is to fill the gas directly into the tank. In any case, it should be done outside and keep the air circulation. The LPG-adding process must be monitored throughout until it is completed.
2.How to switch between the gasoline and the LPG:
Look at the pictures below. You’ll find the model button on your left hand of the cabin. G is for gasoline and LP is for LPG. Flick it left or right to switch between the two fuels.
The video below clearly shows you the switching process.
