Pallets can be divided into single-sided and double-sided pallets according to the number of bearing surfaces. Some customers are annoyed by the mismatch between their pallets and the newly purchased pallet stacker. Today Wings will tell you how to select the right pallet stacker based on the pallets you already have!

Single-sided pallet has only one side to load cargo while double-sided pallet has two same sides to load. The double-sided pallet can be stacked but the singles can’t. Suppose you already have the pallets, and plan to own a pallet stacker to save your energy and improve work efficiency, in that case, you should distinguish the following stacker models which are suitable for single-sided or double-sided pallets respectively. 

★Single-sided pallets:  Suitable for basically all models of the pallet stackers.

When the forks lift upward, they are separated by the supporting legs which stand still on the ground. The single-sided pallet has no bottoms so that it can bear the two-directional forces that exist. But if the forks are used in the double-sided pallet, because of the bottom of the pallet, when they are rising, the force from the supporting legs will drag the pallet down on the ground. The pallet will limit the freedom of the fork rising. So the single-sided pallet can be used on each pallet stacker but the double-sided one can’t.

★Double-sided pallets: Suitable for some models and types of the pallet stackers where the supporting legs won’t interfere with the upward movement of the forks. The Wings models and types that can be used are listed below:

1. WBB Series: For this kind of pallet stacker, the forks and the mast are at the end of the supporting legs. So when the forks rise upward with the pallet, the supporting legs won’t stop them from moving.

2.Modified WBD Series: On the Original WBD, the supporting legs are located under the forks. As a result, the double-sided pallet could not accomplish the upward movement. After modifying, the supporting legs extend much wider than the distance of the forks, so that the fork’s upward movement won’t be interfered with by the supporting legs.

3.Electric Reach Stacker: The forks on this kind of pallet stacker can move along the supporting legs and extend to the outside of the supporting legs. When the forks with the double-sided pallet rise upward, they will be free.

4.3-Way Pallet Stacker: It's the best Space-Saver on which the forks can move upward towards 3 directions-left, right, and front. There aren’t the supporting legs on it. So with the double-sided pallet, the forks can rise freely.

5.Man-up: The forks on the man-up can allow a man standing to look like the ones on the 3-Way Directional Forklift.
